Chris came to Take Heart in the Summer of 2022 after being led by the Lord to use her talent and passion for clinical mental health through the use of equine-assisted therapy. Chris’ love of horses started as a young child and when the opportunity to combine her God-given calling with horses, she prayerfully jumped at the opportunity.
Chris earned her master’s degree in Social Work and Human Sexuality from Widener University. She has over 15 years of experience serving the community and providing guidance and support for those in need. Chris specializes in many areas of therapeutic practice including child development (gentle/peaceful/respectful parenting), couples/marriage counseling, domestic/sexual violence, grief counseling, infertility and intimacy, and generational trauma and violence.
When Chris started at Take Heart she was immediately drawn to their youngest gelding, Warrior. Was it because she is a Mama to three amazing little boys herself? Most likely. When not running after her own babes, Chris enjoys reading, music, cooking, photography, adventures, spending time with her family and friends, and Jesus.
