Gem is a beautiful 15.1h 1999 Appaloosa gelding. His registered name is "Comanche" and his nickname for a while was "Joker" because of his playful personality. Gem is a stoic but wise fellow until you get to know him - then his playful side comes out! Gem loves attention - especially doing stretches and "horsey yoga" - he will often stretch his legs out, striking a silly pose for the enjoyment of anyone watching! Gem is very gentle and quiet and is easy to trust. He is a good listener and has a lot of wisdom to share, if we are willing to slow down and listen to him. This handsomely speckled horse came to us on October 31st, 2020, with his best friend Peaches, generously donated by a closing similar ministry in New Hampshire.
