Gillian obtained her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Evangelical Theological Seminary in Myerstown, PA in January 2020; she also studied at Jefferson University and Messiah College. Gillian is pursuing a license in Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in PA, as well as certification with the American Board of Christian Sex Therapists as a Sex Therapist. Gillian is passionate about freeing people from the unhealthy shame surrounding sexuality. Through a volunteer opportunity with The A21 Campaign (a global anti-human trafficking non-profit) in Charlotte, NC, Gillian learned the value of advocacy through connection and hope. She developed a strong desire to meet people where life finds them, struggles and joys alike. She encourages people in their pursuit of a healthy and integrative identity and way of being. Gillian has always felt a connection to horses, beginning her interaction with horses through volunteering at a race horse training facility. As she continued her education, Gillian realized the potential for healing through relationship that horses offer clients. Her hope is to combine her passion for horses with her desire to help people find wholeness and healing, which led her to Take Heart. In her free time, Gillian can be found with her nose in a book or sharing a cup of coffee with friends or family.
