Volunteer Work Days

Interested in helping with projects at Take Heart as we grow and develop new areas to work with people? Each month we are planning a work day, and anyone is welcome to come - just email or text/call Meagan for dates and so we can get a head count! (meagan@takeheartcounseling.com or 717-917-7137)

Donate

Take Heart does not turn away clients with financial difficulties. Some clients are able to make partial payments, while others are not able to pay at all. Horses are incredible facilitators of healing, but come with high costs for regular care. Donations cover the basic costs involved in both counseling and equine assisted therapy sessions, and allow Take Heart to continue seeing individuals and families regularly. Donations are welcome and greatly appreciated in any amount!

Take Heart is currently a privately-owned service. The long-term plan is to become a non-profit organization. However, until then, donations are not tax-deductible.

Take Heart is currently raising funds via GoFundMe.com! Click the below button to support. If you prefer, donations can be mailed to Take Heart Counseling, 4675 New Holland Rd, Mohnton, PA 19540.

Volunteer

Take Heart is blessed to have a small number of volunteers that help care for the horses, allowing Meagan more time to focus on sessions. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Meagan. No horsemanship skills are necessary - just a love for spending time with these sweet horses and an interest in serving your community.

Pray

The biggest gift you can give Take Heart is time in prayer. Current prayer requests:

  • for current clients to experience healing and wholeness, as well as joy and peace while at the farm.
  • for new clients to reach out for services at Take Heart.
  • for new connections within the community to blossom.
  • for funds to be provided to build a riding ring
  • for the farm to remain a place of safety and peace.

Empowering individuals and families to find

hope, healing, and wholeness

through therapeutic work with horses.
