Rooted in Remembrance is a small, supportive group for young adults (20’s and 30’s) who have lost a parent and are learning how to live with that loss. Through time spent with horses, participants are invited to slow down, listen to their bodies, and find steadiness in the midst of grief. There is space to reflect, feel, and connect—without pressure to talk more than you’re comfortable with. This group offers a grounded, compassionate environment to honor your grief while gently finding meaning, connection, and a sense of rootedness again.

Some kids carry big things in small bodies. Big emotions, big worries, big experiences that haven’t found words yet — and that’s exactly where horses come in. Free Rein is an equine-assisted play therapy group for children ages 5–12, designed to meet kids exactly where they are and give them the space, safety, and support to heal, grow, and just be a kid again.

Through the intentional integration of play therapy techniques in the ranch environment, Free Rein gives children a therapeutic language that doesn’t require words. Alongside our gentle horse partners, children engage in expressive, imaginative, and movement-based experiences designed to unlock what traditional talk therapy can’t always reach. Free Rein is a non-riding group, putting the focus on connection, creative expression, and social-emotional learning. Horses have a remarkable ability to respond to what children can’t yet say out loud — and when you pair that intuition with the evidence-based techniques of play therapy, something extraordinary happens.

Each session is led by a Licensed Professional Counselor alongside a certified equine professional, creating a structured yet nurturing environment where children can explore, express, and discover their own strength. Free Rein runs as a 6-week seasonal group, offered separately for younger children (ages 5–8) and older children (ages 9–12) so each group gets the developmentally appropriate support they need. No horse experience necessary — just a child who’s ready to play.

When a family’s story changes, kids and teens need more than reassurance — they need a place to process, belong, and find their footing again. Pathfinders is a therapeutic group for children ages 8–12 and teens ages 13–17 who are navigating the complexities of family change — whether that’s divorce or separation, blended family life, or foster and adoptive family transitions. Led by licensed counselors at Take Heart Counseling in Wernersville, PA, Pathfinders uses the power of equine-assisted therapy to help young people move through the hard stuff and discover a new path forward — together.

Horses have a unique way of meeting kids exactly where they are. They don’t require explanation or performance — just presence. In Pathfinders, children and teens work alongside our horses in a safe, supportive ranch environment, building emotional regulation, resilience, and connection with peers who understand what it feels like when family life shifts. Every child’s story is different — some are adjusting to two households, some are finding their place in a new family, some are carrying the weight of loss and uncertainty about where they belong. Whatever your child is holding, our trauma-informed counselors walk alongside them every step of the way — and so do the peers beside them. In Pathfinders, kids and teens discover they’re not alone in their story, and that shared understanding becomes part of the healing.

Pathfinders runs as a 6-week seasonal group, offered separately for kids (ages 8–12) and teens (ages 13–17) so each age group gets the space and support that fits them best. No horse experience is necessary — just a brave kid and a willingness to take the next step. If your family is in the middle of a hard chapter, Pathfinders meets you there.
