You’ve heard about equine therapy. Maybe you’re curious about it for yourself, your clients, or your family — but you’re not quite sure what it actually looks like, or whether it’s right for you. Equine Therapy 101 is a 4-week introductory group designed for adults who want to explore equine assisted learning and therapy in a low-pressure, experiential setting. No horse experience necessary. No commitment to ongoing therapy required. Just curiosity and a willingness to show up.
In Equine Therapy 101, you’ll get a real, hands-on introduction to the principles and practices that make equine assisted work so effective. Each session explores common themes approached in equine assisted therapy — things like emotional awareness, boundaries, communication, and regulation — through guided activities alongside our horses. This isn’t just horse time. It’s structured, intentional learning facilitated by licensed clinicians and equine professionals who know how to create meaningful experiences in the arena. You’ll leave each session with something to think about, reflect on, and carry with you.
This group is a natural starting point for adults considering individual or group equine therapy, as well as mental health professionals, educators, and helpers who want to experience equine assisted learning firsthand. Whether you’re testing the waters, building your understanding of EAL, or simply following a curiosity you can’t quite explain — you’re welcome here. If you’ve been waiting for a sign to try something different, hope starts with one brave step. This is yours.
Wherever you are at on your journey, we are here for you. Our human and equine team will walk alongside you so you can find hope, healing, and wholeness in your life. You are worth it. Reach out to us today.
